How a Broadway Hit is Born

Wednesdays Sept, 30, Oct 7, 14 at 4pm
Series Cost: $50
Class size: Unlimited
Three sessions, each class runs 60 minutes via Zoom.

Every year thousands of shows are written, hundreds make it into production around the country, and 15-30 make it to the Broadway stage, where most of them fail. Broadway hits are rare. Is it just luck? Who better to tell us than the Tony Award winners behind the some of biggest hits of the last decade. Join two time Drama Desk nominated Producer Amy Kaissar as she introduces you to Tony Award winning Sound Designer Nevin Steinberg (Hamilton and Dear Evan Hanson), Tony Award winning Producer Barbara Whitman (Fun Home and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), and Tony Award winning actor Nikki James (Book of Mormon). They’ll give first hand accounts of how they made their magic. You don’t want to miss it.

Instructor: Amy Kaissar
