Three sessions, each class runs 60 minutes via Zoom.
Our first course on the history of American theatre established how Broadway came into existence and the formation of the current theatre industry. Now explore some of the pivotal developments of the 20th century like the Off-Broadway movement, the rise of regional theatre and the great auteurs of the avant-garde. We’ll also learn about the great American playwrights of the last hundred years and why they made the canon.
