America Rising

America Rising opens the door to the hottest contemporary playwrights of the American Theatre. This popular play-reading series takes place at our Rehearsal Studio, located at 201 Cedar Street, on four Sunday evenings throughout the season. Program includes a light supper at 5pm followed by the reading at 6pm.

February 12 Faery Tales
The play was written by Allan Knee, the author of last year’s smash hit Little Women. His Broadway hit The Man Who was Peter Pan was later made into a Oscar nominated film starring Johnny Depp called Finding Neverland. More
April 1 Some of the People, All of the Time
Jamie Pachino's work has been named the winner of the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays production grant, the Laurie Foundation Theatre Visionary Award, Chicago’s Joseph Jefferson ("Jeff") Award for Best New Work, the Pinter Prize Gold Medal for Drama, and the Francesca Primus Prize by the American Theatre Critics Association, among many others.
